Day 21 of My Raw Vegan Diet
On day 21 I feel great!
I went to the hyperbaric chamber and infra red sauna..I drank lots of water, starting early in the morning. I drank one 8 oz glass of Green smoothie, and then the rest water throughout the day. I had another Green smoothie around 3pm.
Today's Green Smoothie:
2 cups of water
1 large hand full of spinach
4 large lettuce leaves
1 banana
2 rings of pineapple
1/2 cup of frozen mango
1/2 scoop of hemp protein powder
1 scoop of Vegan Supplement powder
1 Tbsp of Coconut oil
1/4 teaspoon of Matcha Green Tea
Hand full of ice
Blend..yummy goodness!!
I also had a shot of Wheatgrass with an apple juice chaser. I had a 12 oz glass of freshly juiced apple/carrot juice with a small piece of ginger juiced in with it. It was really nice.
For dinner I had a small salad of;
Lettuce
Tomato
Cucumber
Green onion
Shaved Almonds
Basil
Salt
*Balsamic vinaigrette with Agave Nectar
I am finding that I am eating less and drinking more liquids. More water and juices than solid foods or smoothies. I feel like I am naturally getting to prepared for the juice fast/feast I am starting on the 3rd of February. I am both physically and mentally prepared to start my fasting journey.
On day 21 of my raw vegan Diet I feel great. I feel healthy and strong. I feel like I am beaming inside, and it shows on the outside. My skin is fresh and radiant, my eyes are brighter. My mind is clear and eager to learn. My thoughts are positive and productive. My moods are good and calm. I have found a connection to love and peace. My spiritual nature is more predominant. I find that as I nourish my body and avoid things that tax the body, I have made the vibrational energy within my body, and surrounding my body Vibrate at a higher level. This makes sense as we nourish each cell within our body...and they radiate a new vitality from the cellular level up. This serves to connect me to a higher state of being. I feel more connected to the life force energy that flows through, and around us. I am more in tune with my intuition. I find that as I listen to my intuition I am guided to the information that I need at that time. I am also finding a natural instinct to listen to my body as it asks for what it needs. I go with the flow and I feel GREAT!
Green Tea
The benefits of green tea and its effects were discovered 4,000 years ago and since then has been considered a wonder drink!
Green tea acts as an antiviral agent. It contains fluoride, a mineral that helps prevents cavities and strengthens tooth enamel. A cup a day can help reduce plaque formation and bacterial infections in the mouth. It acts as an anti-inflammatory, maintains a healthy, active metabolism and circulatory system just to name a few. This proves that this drink is indeed a miracle in a cup!
Your body responds to the negative effects of free radicals by utilizing defensive antioxidant molecules present in your systems in order to detoxify these harmful effects.
This is the reason why you are being encouraged by nutritionists and other health professionals to increase the levels of antioxidants in your body.
Luckily, this is easily achieved by simply adding nutritious foods in your diet such as fruits and vegetables that are naturally rich in antioxidants.
The antioxidant levels of green tea is hundred times more effective than vitamin C and twenty-five times better than vitamin E in protecting our immune systems. Another great reason to drink several cups everyday.
The Green Tea Ingredients are the ones responsible for its amazing health benefits. They are called catechins!
Catechins are considered the most effective of all antioxidants and the amounts as well as the effects are far higher compared to black tea. The fact that green tea undergoes less internal changes from fresh leaf means that it contains the largest quantity of intact catechins.
Asian population are experiencing its wonderful effects and benefits. Statistics have shown that Asians have a lower risk of acquiring diseases because of their healthy lifestyle.
One of the health benefits of green tea is it's potential to act as a protective agent against premature death from heart disease and cancer.
Drinking this tea is said to lower the levels of total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol, thereby reducing platelet aggregation, and helping keep blood pressure in check.
Other health benefits of green tea are the following:
• promotes healthy function of your brain and liver
• fights against cancer
• helps stabilize diabetes
• prevents cardiovascular disease
• it keeps your skin acne free making it healthier and prettier
• assists in weight loss regimen
• slows the aging process
• aids your digestion
• encourages bowel regularity
• provides you with a mild stimulating effect without causing sleepless nights or nervousness especially during pregnancy
I simply add a 1/4 of a Tsp of Matcha Green Tea Powder to my green smoothies in the morning. Or have it in warm water with lemon. It is very good...and is doing so much to promote good health in my body. Try some today!
Green Color Therapy
I am obsessed with everything GREEN lately.
Lets learn about what the color green means.
GREEN ENERGY- Green Energy is governed by the Heart Chakra. Green is the harmonizing, balancing energy. It has strong influences on the heart and blood supply. Green has much to do with the way you feel about yourself. It is associated with abundance and giving. It's strong tie to nature is very important in order to be balanced, peaceful, harmonious.
The Heart Chakra - allows balance to the heart, lungs, bronchia, arms, hands, and secondary system.
This energy -- gives a feeling of renewal, new life, freshness, and clarity. The heart is the center of the soul and it is the heart that makes us one with our fellow man. Most importantly, it harbors love energy, the leading principle of life. Being with loved ones, family, and friends, strengthens the heart energy. Made up of the blue and yellow, green is regarded as a color of harmony. It is a mild sedative. It is useful in the treatment of nervous conditions, hay fever, ulcers, influenza, malaria , colds, sexual disorders and cancer. It preserves and strengthens eyesight. Being highly medicinal and depressive, it is of great help in the treatment of inflammatory conditions.
In using green -- we must accept and allow love in our hearts and learn to give it without expecting anything in return. When our heart center is balanced, we are able to give positive feelings and happiness, unconditionally.
Green Energy may help when:
*you need to soothe your nerves
*you have tension headaches
*need peace and harmony
*have chronic problems
*digestive problems
*need to calm down
GREEN: governs the circulatory system, which includes the heart and its flow through the arms hands, legs and feet. Green is a combination of both yellow and blue. Green energy brings growth, compassion, unconditional love, openness, forgiveness, acceptance and contentment. Use green for nurturing, generosity, harmony, assertiveness and to help heal loss.
Day 20 of my Raw Vegan Diet
It's funny because I thought this diet would be hard, but I crave nothing. It is awesome!
It's even better than Candy..lol
On day 20 of my Raw vegan diet I had a Green smoothie for breakfast and lunch. I used the same recipe for my smoothie as for Day 19 of my Raw Vegan Diet I Did the hyperbaric chamber and Infrared sauna on this day also. I turned up the heat a bit in the sauna and I have started to sweat really well again. I likey to release those yucky toxins...BYE BYE Toxins! I felt pretty good on day 20. I started to drink more water again and it definately helps. I read an artical that stated that we go through our detox more in the morning so we should not eat as much but drink morre water during that time. So I am starting to Drink more water in the morning and just one glass of smoothie..then more water until the afternoon...My body seems to be responding well to this..and I have the bulk of my food in take during 11-6pm..I find if I just drink water and have a few seeds at night i feel better and look better in the morning. I don't retain as much water. The toxins seem to be released in a more natural way that my body can handle. I guess trying different things ( trial and error), to see what worls for us is essential to finding the perfect way for us. Everyone is diierent after all. I find that i am becoming more intuitive about what my body needs, and I am especially drawn to the color Green lately. I find that weird..but then again I am eating alot of healing and green foods...and the color green is associated with healing. so I guess it is fitting..I have to go buy a green shirt...shopping ah yes...I really need a green shirt.......lol

Detoxification
© David Klein, Ph.D.
Taken from Your Natural Diet: Alive Raw Foods by Drs. T. C. Fry & David Klein
http://www.livingnutrition.com
Many, if not most people, begin transitioning to a raw food diet when they are severely ill; some do so when they are attempting to recover from minor nagging illness symptoms; and still others make the change when they are free of symptoms. In all of these conditions, once the body begins to assimilate a higher proportion of natural raw foods, it initiates detoxification and health-building actions since it is always striving to establish a higher state of wellness.
The new, enzymatically-active live raw foods with their nutritious, energizing sugars cause the body to spring into action, utilizing much of its energy in cleaning house: purging debris, shedding old inferior cells, and using the new raw nutrients to build a completely new, healthier body. It is recommended that the transition be made gradually, to avoid triggering the uncomfortable symptoms that can accompany a drastic cleansing process. As long as there is vitality, the opportunity exists for the body to rejuvenate to a far more vigorous level of health. Results are often noticed within 24 hours of beginning a new healthful regimen.
Detoxification is a self-purifying process which the body carries out at all times, but most aggressively during the early to late morning hours. It is advantageous to eat lightly in the morning. Heavy foods eaten at this time suspend the cleansing process, keeping us toxic, and, in some cases, overweight. The process of "detox" entails: 1. the cells off-loading metabolic wastes and environmental toxins into the bloodstream for filtering by the liver and kidneys for elimination, and 2. the organs of elimination (bowels, kidneys, lungs, skin, vagina) releasing metabolic, environmental and residual food wastes via feces, urine, breath, sweat and menses. Toxins are also expectorated in mucus via the throat and sinuses.
Under normal conditions of healthful living and natural diet, the body is able to eliminate metabolic wastes and other environmental pollutants through its normal organs of elimination. However, under chronic excessive bombardment with unnatural dietary fare, environmental pollutants, emotional stress, and/or overeating on even good natural foods, the body’s eliminative capacities are not equal to the task, and a buildup of toxins increases as the days and years go by. This condition, called toxicosis, leads to accelerated aging, fatigue, illness, and, in many cases, to obesity. In this condition of toxicity, which is particularly likely if one has lived on a diet of foods such as cooked meat, dairy, bread, and junk foods, the body harbors sticky and insoluble debris and waste matter on artery and bowel walls, as well as in the bloodstream, tissues, bowels, and organs.
Fortunately, the body is a magnificently designed masterpiece of self-regulation and self-healing, always striving to establish and maintain purity and wellness. When a toxic load becomes too dangerous for the body, it intelligently enacts a detoxification/elimination/purging/housecleaning event or phase, manifested by any of these "symptoms": sore throat, inflammation, fever, skin outbreaks, coated tongue, mucus expectoration, body aches, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Malodorous body wastes and underarms are signs that toxic putrid fermented matter and acids are being eliminated. During the detoxification phase, many people experience lightheadedness and headaches as the body stirs up and dumps toxins into the bloodstream for processing and elimination. During a thorough detox, unhealthy fat, cysts and even tumors are also broken down (autolyzed) and eliminated. As toxins are stirred up and released, the body relaxes and people also typically experience short-term symptoms of mental-emotional detox: mood swings, depression, sadness, anger, and crying.
When the organs of elimination are weak and/or overloaded, the body will resort to eliminating toxins through any convenient outlet it can find: e.g., the eyes, ears, throat, vagina, skin (sweating, rashes and suppuration's), sinuses, and scalp. When we experience any of these signs of elimination, we typically feel fatigued and sleepy, as the body is directing much of its energy toward accomplishing the housecleaning. At such times, it is always wise to assist the body by heeding the calls for extra rest and sleep. All of these "symptoms" will diminish and then vanish when the body is sufficiently cleaned out, providing we adhere to a healthful lifestyle regimen.
In conjunction with the heightened detoxification action, the body works at repairing any damage, regenerating new cells, rejuvenating and restoring wellness. The repair work mostly occurs when we sleep. When there is damage to be repaired and rejuvenation to be accomplished, the body needs extra sleep. We typically feel weak and need plenty of extra sleep in the beginning stage of the rejuvenation phase. If the toxemia, physical damage, degeneration and emotional distress is severe, this phase may last for weeks or months. It is important to understand that the symptoms of the detoxification and rejuvenation process signify the workings of the awesome rejuvenative power of the body. It will help the process if we appreciate the workings of the body and do everything possible to assist it in its healing processes. We can do this by taking a break or a sabbatical from our normal routines, obtaining plenty of extra sleep and rest--if necessary, complete rest-- as well as eating simply, until the work is sufficiently accomplished and we experience new vigor and vitality. It would be ideal to take the sabbatical at a comfortable health center or retreat with fasting supervision, juicing, deep rest and hygiene education.
If we persevere through the uncomfortable detox symptoms, get extra sleep and rest when feeling tired or unwell, and resist covering up symptoms with medicines (which only add more toxins to the system), we will arrive at a wonderful state of well being in the quickest time possible, and in the process, we will learn invaluable lessons about how the body works to restore health. Some of the rewards include freedom from illness, sweet smelling breath, no body odors, easy and inoffensive elimination, shinier, thicker hair, clearer eyes and skin, more mental energy and clarity, better memory, slimmer belly, no cellulite, greater stamina, deeper connection to spirit, and finding a mutual attraction with healthy, vivacious people like ourselves. Through healthful living practices which keep our bodies clean inside and free of energy-robbing toxic matter, we can ensure a healthier, longer, more vital and youthful life, free ourselves from disease and aging, and tap into the wellspring of joy within.
Day 19 of my Raw Vegan Diet
On day 19 of my Raw vegan Diet I took it easy...I had a ME day. I rested, I read, I searched the web for new info on health and wellness. I realize that what helps me most is reading the stories of other people starting and discovering there own Raw Vegan Diets...Juicing etc. There is so much information on there sites..links..They want to share with others what they learned because they feel so much better for it. I feel the same way. The more I realize I am healing my body..taking charge of my own healing..the more I want to help others also find there way back to health and wellness.
My friend mentioned in the last post comments about a girl we had gone to high school with, who was sick with arthritis...Years later she saw her healthy and well. It had turned out to be a virus causing her illness.
Whatever we have( physical pain, depression, sleep problems, the list goes on) we need to remember this- Our body is programmed to naturally heal itself if we stop poisoning it and support it as it goes through its natural healing process.
I have been learning so much about this way of eating and its healing benefits...I know I will be free of any health concerns...It is funny because I was just thinking about this today..how I have felt horrible for years and tried so many things to feel better. I even tried some natural healthy things but nothing seemed to really last..then I gave up and part of the problem is that I tried to let medical science help me(BIG MISTAKE)..Everything they have given me either hasn't helped at all, or it managed to somehow damage my body in some way. What I am doing now ..with the juicing, fasting and eating live food..I am giving my body what it needs to do what it was designed to do..heal and sustain itself in perfect health. Unfortunately, because our body's have so much to deal with from pollutants in our environment and our food, we become ill. It gets over taxed and manifests all kinds of different diseases and problems. Fortunately for us we can turn back time by giving the body support and what it needs to return to a healthy and vibrant state of being.
In the posts to come I will start sharing with you the information that has allowed me to start the healing process in my own life. I will keep blogging and tell you what worked for me and what didn't along the way. I believe we can all have healing and what we want in life if we just have faith and confidence to make that journey.
On day 19 I started the day with a smoothie made of;
2 cups of water
3 hand fulls of spinach
2 large lettuce leaves
1 cucumber
4 pears
1 apple
1 frozen banana
1 scoop of Vegan Vitamin Supplement
1 scoop of Hemp Protein Powder
1 Tbsp of Coconut Oil
1 hand full of ice
I drank 2 liters of this all morning and afternoon, with 8 oz glasses of water in between refilling my smoothie glass. Doing that seems to be the most gentle way for my body to release the toxins as well as constantly feed myself as I go. I feel much better on the days I stay home and rest..but I feel it is important to support my detox with the Infrared Sauna..that assists in sweating out the toxins that I am releasing. At some point I will be getting one for my home, to help sustain my health when I reach that point. For right now I have to go out to do it..as much as I love to stay home... I am also Exercising for an hour before I go into the sauna..so my body gets tired. I am enjoying resting in between though...heal..relax...mmmm
For Diner I made Raw Tomato Soup;
Cream of Tomato Soup
2 cups tomatoes
2 cups red peppers
1/2 cup almonds or cashews, soaked
1/2 avocado
Juice of 1/2 large lime
1 tsp miso
Salt to taste
Fresh or dried basil (optional)
Water until desired consistency is reached
Blend until smooth, then taste. If it seems too acidic, add a little sweetener.
* It tastes much better with a bit of natural sweetner..
Today I am thankful for;
- the people who have gone before me who have concentrated on healing themselves and then share with all of us.
- my body's natural healing abilities
- the knowledge that enables me to create health and happiness in my life.
Live well, laugh, love...

Day 18 of my Raw Vegan Diet
I bought some frozen mango's and they are a great addition to my morning smoothie. Mmmm Mango.
Well it was back to the Oxygen Tank for me, and then Infrared Sauna. I felt pretty good in the morning, but by the evening I felt like a wreck. I was drained and achy...and emotional. I find that on days that I go to the Hyperbaric chamber I avoid drinking much in the morning because I am in the chamber for 1 and 1/2 hours and I can't get out to pee.....and I pee every 15 min when I drink a lot of water and smoothie. I find myself power drinking right before I go into the Infrared Sauna, and while I am in the sauna I drink 2 liters of water, but I am not sweating enough because my body hasn't processed it yet.....then I pee like a maniac in the early evening...and I don't feel very good. Like massively toxic. I need to either do the chamber or sauna..doing both in the same day isn't working for my body and I just feel worse for it. I want to detox in a healthy way following my body's rhythms.
On day 18 I made a Green Smoothie;
2 apples
1/2 honey dew melon
1/2 cantelope
1/4 cup of frozen mangos
1 banana
1 scoop Vegan Supplement powder
1/2 scoop Hemp Powder
1 tbsp of Coconut Oil
I drank one glass before I went into the chamber, and the rest when I was done my therapy around 4pm.
I had a cup of raw soup for diner
Then I went to bed because I was feeling sick and rotten.
Today I learned that I have to drink water early in the day...or by the end of the day my body is too over taxed...especially when I am doing the other Detoxification Therapies.

Day 17 of my Raw Vegan Diet
Today was the day to see how I was measuring up.
I lost 1/4 inch off of my Breasts
I lost 4 inches off of my stomach
I lost 3 inches off of my hips
I lost 1 inch off om my thighs
I lost 1 inch off of my biceps
I guess I shouldn't use the term "lost" as it would imply that I am looking for it and want it back...cause I DON"T Lol.. ;p
I am happy that I have released so much in just 17 days..Goodbye fat...goodbye toxins... good riddance.
For breakfast and lunch I made a Green smoothie made of;
2 cups of water
2 hand fulls of spinach
1 hand full of kale
1 celery stalk
1/2 a cantelope
1/4 a honey dew melon
2 apples
1 banana
1 cup of Frozen Mangos
1 scoop of Vegan Vitamin Powder
1/2 scoop of Hemp Protein Powder
1Tbsp Coconut Oil
1 hand full of ice
* Very good*
I drank 2 liters of the Green smoothie all day, as well as drinking a full glass of water before drinking the next 8 oz glass of smoothie. It seems to be working well...I am not sure I can keep up with ingesting so much..lol Doing it this way seems to make it easier for me to get my water in....
Day 16 of my Raw Vegan Diet
Ok, so this is actually day 17 of my Diet but I have been being a busy bum and not blogging regularly. I think after this I am caught up..so I am not that far behind. *Grin*
I spent day 16 which was Saturday..yesterday helping my Ex hubby organize, go through boxes, and pack what he needs at his new place. This gave us an opportunity to go through a multitude of still packed boxes from years of "stuff" that we hadn't unpacked through several of our moves through out our relationship. *Whew* it was hard going through Old pictures of us..both of us when we were first dating, and pictures of us and the kids when they were so little and cute.. along with years of memorabilia...sigh..DH and I have been separated for 10 months, and we aren't divorced yet, but that will be coming up soon. When I first left he was livid and impossible to deal with because his feelings were hurt, of course. But we have gotten to a place where we can be civil and be around each other without any hair pulling. :) We do have kids together so it is better for everyone if we can get along..at least for their sake. It is hard for everyone at times...but at least things are moving forward in a positive way. Leaving that negative situation( of 11 years) was like throwing a life line to myself...and now I have a wonderful loving and supportive man in my life. I am very blessed. We both are, and we are both very aware and thankful for every day that we share.
So what did I eat on day 16?
For breakfast I had a liter of green smoothie
I had grapes and nuts and seeds for snack/lunch. and lots of water.
I had an early diner. We went to Whitespot, so I had their "Spot salad", which was great. It had lots of seeds and sprouts and yummy goodness.
I drank a small glass of green smoothie when I got home later. I wasn't hungry at all...I didn't eat as much as I normally do today..and I felt better really. Maybe less food and more water is a good idea....smaller portions perhaps..I will play around with it and see how I feel...More liquids and less solid foods. Soon I will be doing my Juicing feast, so I am glad I seem to be naturally transitioning into that on my own.
Day 15 of my Raw Vegan Diet
Giving my body pure live foods to nourish itself has been such a great treat. I thought I would miss all of the cooked meals and animal protein and junk foods...but I feel so good, and I crave nothing...I am glad I gave this gift of eating well to my body..and to myself.
On day 15 of my Raw Vegan Diet I headed into town to do more Hyperbaric therepy, and infrared sauna treatments. I feel really good and I know it is because I am assisting my body in flushing the toxins out of my system in several ways all at once. It seems my body is responding well to this. I am exercising, going into the sauna to sweat, oil pulling, skin brushing, and drinking a ton of water. I will post on each of these subjects separately as I go because they each deserve their own 15 seconds of fame on my blog..lol But seriously..they are each in themselves very helpful in making our bodies more healthy. So I will do them separately.
I also bought myself a juicing book and I will soon be transitioning into a Juicing Fast/Feast. I asked Aleesha to become my Raw food/ Juicing Coach..since offers that as a service. She is also my Reiki teacher so I am excited to start the juicing journey with her watching, supporting, and aiding me.
Eating a live food diet has greatly raised my vibrational frequency and I am finding connection to spirit definitely more heightened. It is because of this I have again become interested in doing my next level in Reiki.
Starting this diet, and new change in the way I feed myself and view food, I didn't realize it would so greatly effect me in such positive ways. I started out just wanting to be healthier, and lose some weight....and now I find myself truly on a journey...rediscovering who I am and what I want for my life. Drawing in more good, and releasing the things in my life that are not aiding me in becoming better..or getting to a better place.
On day 15 of my raw vegan Diet I made a smoothie of;
2 cups of water
2 hand fulls of spinach
1 hand full of kale
2 apples
1/2 a cantaloupe
1 Tbsp of Coconut oil
1 scoop of Vegan Vitamin Supplement
1 scoop of Hemp Protein Powder
Hand full of Ice
* I made 2 liters of this and drank it for breakfast and lunch
For dinner I had a huge salad made of;
lettuce
yellow pepper
red onion
cucumber
shaved almonds
sunflower seeds
pumpkin seeds
craisins
pecans
tomatoes
*Topped with a balsamic vinegar and honey...
I drank water through out the day..about 2 liters. I want to start drinking more water. I feel like I am not getting enough.
Until tomorrow..

I was super busy yesterday and didn't blog much so I will catch up yesterdays meals and then post later today when I get back to my nest.
I decided to treat myself since lately I have been having some very green smoothies. For breakfast and lunch I had a smoothie made of;
1 apple
2 pears
3 spears of pineapple
1 banana
1 tbsp of coconut oil
about a cup of previously blended greens- spinach and kale
1 scoop of Vegan supplement powder in Vanilla Chai
for diner I had a salad made of;
lettuce
yellow pepper
red onion
cucumber
shaved almonds
sunflower seeds
pumpkin seeds
craisens
pecans
tomatoes
*Topped with a balsamic vinegar and honey...VERY good!
I felt ok yesterday...a little emotionally down..but I wasn't too bad...lol I got a flat tire on the way to pick up the kids from school..but lucky for me my mom rescued my kids and my ex rescued me....all in all it was a good day..i am blessed to have so many people around me that love me.
Talk at 'cha all later!

A Thousand Words Thursday
Every once and a while we see things that make us think...and this picture did that for me. How often do we extend ourselves to make others happy. I know those with kids will say...Every day! But there are lots of people around us that just need a hug, or a kind word of encouragement, or something as simple as a complement. Think about one person today that needs you to be the bright spot in their day. Do something nice...Extend yourself...Shine your light...

Benefits of Green Grapes Day 13
Adding healthy snacks to your diet can only lead to more health!
Today I had to go out again,, so I prepared all of my food in the morning, so it I could eat while I was cruzin' around. I made a shake of;
2 apples
2 hand fulls of kale
a hand full of spinach
a scoop of Vegan Vitamin Powder
It really wasn't very good...but I try not to waste so I drank it...I put in way too much kale. Note to self- Too much kale makes the smoothie NOT smooth..I chewed my drink today...blah!
I did do something good though. I juiced with my wonderful Champion Juicer. That was a treat.
I juiced 2 liters of Cantelope juice,
2 liters of Apple juice.
*I did a combination of carrots, celery, and ginger root.
I had a snack of Raw Veggies;
Red pepper
Cucumber
Snap peas
Broccoli
Cherry tomatoes
I also had a small clump of green grapes..yumm. All crisp and sweet.
Benefits of Green grapes
Not only are grapes a good source of vitamins A and C, but you’ll also find vitamin B6 and folate in these fruits of the vine. And that’s not all. Minerals like potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, and selenium, as well as trace amounts of copper, manganese, and zinc are also present in grapes. What’s more, you’ll also get some fiber and protein from grapes.
While these vitamins and minerals are vital to your health, the truly spectacular health benefits are found in the other compounds contained in grapes. Recent research has been all abuzz over these newly discovered grape components.
Flavonoids
Have you ever wondered how certain fruits and vegetables get such vibrant colors? The answer is flavonoids. Flavonoids are very powerful antioxidants. Antioxidants work to prevent and counteract the damage caused by free radicals. When it comes to antioxidants, flavonoids are your best bet.
The flavonoids are found abundantly in grapes, and are showing great promise when it comes to cardiovascular disease, cancer, age-associated disorders, and other illnesses and symptoms. In short, what do grapes have to do with your health? Everything.
Today I didn't drink enough water, and I am feeling achy all over. Sluggish inside. I am detoxing today it seems and my body needs a TLC day I guess. It didn't help that I was out. Along with the hyperbaric chamber I am doing an Infrared sauna session afterward.. which also draws toxins out of your cells........so today I am super toxifyed. Ouch! Toxins are running rampint through my system..ahhhhhhhhh!! lol Tomorrow I am going to get lots of rest and drink lots of water..so I can eliminate the toxins from my system.
I also got some Hemp Protien powder today, so I will be blogging on that soon.
Live Happy.. Live in Light...

So I mentioned on my last blog about how wondrous the Coconut oil is. It has made my Smoothies more exciting again. I tend to try a lot of the same combinations of fruits each day. It is because I feel safe eating certain combinations . I have tried being adventurous and ended up eating something that I could barely get down....However, I am going to make more of an effort to mix it up a bit, so I get a variety of fruits and veggies through out the day.
On day 11 of my Raw Vegan Diet I started with a glass of water...say it with me.."Water is our friend".. and it is good to drink lots of water everyday.
I made a smoothie of;
2 apples
hand full of kale
hand full of spinach
1 carrot
1 celery stalk
1 banana
1 scoop of Vegan Vitamin supplement
hand full of ice
I had a snack of snow peas and chucks of red pepper
I took this all with me as well when I went running around today..so I sort of grazed all afternoon in between my appointment at the Hyperbaric Clinic and driving. More about my adventures with the increased oxygen later.
For diner I had a Huge salad of;
lettuce
tomato
cucumber
avocado
sprouts
orange pepper
shaved raw almonds
craisins
sunflower seeds
pumpkin seeds
*for the top I mixed together oil vinegar and honey ( Which comes from bees...bee poop never tasted so good!) The honey is more of a vegetarian choice than a vegan one, but I was happy to have this small vice and I still felt that I was being healthy....and it made it taste so GOOD!!
In the evening I had warm water with lemon as I sat with my Mother and my Sweetie, playing card games before beddie bies....
Wonderful day...and it is great to take time for small pleasures after the kiddies settle down for the night. Quiet time with loved ones is a treasure beyond all others. Taking the time to nurture the relationships between you and the ones you love is so important to all around happiness. Love and support take you a long way in life..and as you give..So will you receive that love and support....and if you don't kick their butts....lol or get replacements...heehee!!

Coconut Oil is Just Amazing!
This week I started using Coconut Oil. It has proved to be a delightful treat!
Organic Coconut Oil
Coconut Oil is a "healthy fat" that your body needs to function optimally. It is Cholesterol-free, and helps your body to maintain a healthy cholesterol level. It contains lauric acid which boosts your immune system and provides a strong anti-viral defense for your skin and internal organs. Coconut oil maintains healthy intestinal flora and promotes a healthy gastrointestinal tract. You can use it by adding it to your favorite smoothie, or favorite recipes that call for oil– It is extremely luxurious,healthy and tasty! Try mixing different fruits with Coconut Oil to create a delicious fruit spread. Apply Coconut Oil to your hair at night as a deep conditioner. Wash out in the morning and experience the difference in your healthy hair. Use Coconut Oil on your face and body as an incredibly potent moisturizer. Your skin will feel soft and supple. Pamper yourself by soaking your feet in warm water with Coconut Oil. Coconut Oil is the best massage oil on the market. Smooth, luxurious and sumptuous.
I have Coconut Oil in the kitchen AND in the bathroom. It was so good that I had to have two. I can't believe I went so long through my life before I discovered this..( Thanks Aleesha!) I bought it because I had read about how wonderful Aleesha's skin was after using it in the bath. So out I went to get some for my bath( 'cause I like to pamper myself too ;). When I got home I tried it in my shake because it has been mentioned on different vegan sites that it is a good way to make the smoothie more..SMOOTH...lol That can't be a bad thing..everyone wants a smoothie that is more smooth! It was Delicious! I am so excited to find this yummy addition to my ingredients. I slurped all my smoothie down this morning and I couldn't wait for lunch so I could make another. Wow nice treat..and so healthy. YEY!!
I started to read about all the ways that we could use the Oil and I thought I would try it out. I need to get some new leave in conditioner for my hair..my poor dry hair....so I scrunched some into my bleached fragile locks..and wow....it is so healthy and shiney...it is just drinking it up! I put some on my skin to try as a moisturizer..and amazing...so silky.
I just couldn't help but gush about this..I am enjoying it emensely.
Even Pixies Have Bad Days
Today I am feeling blue, I don't even feel like blogging..which is sad because usually I really enjoy trying to share some bit of knowledge I have gathered..or some inspiration that I think I have to share with others that might brighten their day. Today is a BLAH day. Blah Blah Blah
I started to wonder..hmm..what is different about today than other days when I am feeling up and excited about living my life? ..to be continued..have to get my kidlings up and off to school...
OK, I am back and in a better mood. Thank you Debbie for your comment. For some strange reason I tend to post like there is a huge entourage following my postings and getting inspiration from my words and insights. Taking my little sparks and making their own flames of health, happiness and passion for living. Maybe it is my little way of feeling like I am making a difference..and helping people.
Even if I only help a few people to know that they have the potential to write their own stories- if they only pick up the pen and start writing it for themselves; with their own ink; on their own terms.
I am making steps in my life to get to the place I see for myself and my family, and I am happy that I can share my story and light.
*I took a few minutes and meditated and thought about all of the things that I am thankful for in my life. The list was long. All of that goodness and beauty that I have in my life is worth celebrating, and I decided to not give my time and energy to a sad and useless feelings. Petting and nurturing my depression isn't very productive or healthy. It only stands in the way of my destination..which is a land of abundance, peace and love...which I want in all areas of my life.
Today I choose to lift my face up the the proverbial sun, and claim my right to have an amazing life..and then live it!

Day 10 of my Raw vegan Diet
I am going to post this quickly because I have a super busy day ahead. I am also a day behind on my meal posting..so this will catch me up and I will post later today to tell you about my adventures..
I am most generally a home body, and prefer to have some alone time exercising gently, reading, meditating, and blending/ juicing, in between running around and taking care of my 2 beautiful offspring. However today I must start going out into the big world of crazy commuting. I am starting to go back to the Hyperbaric Therapy, that I was doing before the Christmas holidays. I will write more in depth about that later tonight and explaining the benefits and what it does for us.
On day 10 of my raw vegan diet for breakfast I started with a glass of water then I had a glass of juice that I juiced made from a cocktail of;
apple
carrots
beets
celery
cucumber
Then I had a smoothie made of;
2 apples
2 pears
1 banana
1 hand full of kale
1 stalk of celery
scoop of vegan vitamin supplement
hand full of ice
I drank lots of water through out the day and I had seeds and nuts for snack time.
I ate snow peas and red and green peppers, tomato slices.
For diner I had a huge salad made of;
butter lettuce
sprouts
broccoli
cauliflower
sunflower seeds
pumpkin seeds
craisens
I really enjoyed my salad. I am feeling really good....AND..I am enjoying walking by the mirror more these days. I can't believe what a huge difference that 10 days have made. I am going to take pictures of myself in the same pose each week to see the difference. I will be posting some here soon. As well as measuring myself every 2 weeks to see the results.
Have a great day you beautiful beings!

Day 9 of my raw Vegan Diet
I have been getting a little behind on my posting when it comes to my diet. Bad Kelly! lol
I have been drinking lots of water and enjoying my diet. I am not finding it as hard as I thought I would. It is probably because my body is getting all the nutrients it needs and I am not hungry or craving anything. That is a nice break from my usual dieting nightmares where I feel I am neglecting myself of everything. Now I just feel good about myself and my decisions about what I put into my mouth because I know it is benefiting me in so many ways. I feel lighter happier and content...almost like one good choice creates more of a balance in the rest of your life. I suppose it inspires to create a more positive being. Maybe it is because when you are doing something healing and uplifting for yourself you start to look at the rest of your life..and consider what else is in your life might be toxic. Wanting purity and goodness around you makes you consider other habits we have fallen into, or perhaps friends that don't benefit us anymore. Making positive changes in all aspects of our life only helps to assist us to a higher place of being. It is important to clear your path of any obstacles that can get in your way of reaching whatever destination you want for yourself..whatever that may be. A new career path..a new body..a good relationship. Having a clear idea of what you want for yourself and taking the steps to get there is the secret to happiness...you can have whatever you like..it is you that makes the choices in your life. I choose to be happy and healthy and in a good romantic relationship, as well as maintaining good family and friend relationships. I choose to use my artistic and creative talents to both bring in income and shine light into others lives. If I can inspire and uplift those around me, then I am truly happy.
On day 9 of my Raw vegan Diet I started my day out drinking a glass of water, then I had a smoothie made of;
1 pear
2 apples
3 hand fulls of kale
3 hand fulls of spinach
1 frozen banana
6 frozen strawberries
1/2 a scoop of vegan vitamin supplement
hand full of ice
For lunch I had a smoothie made of;
3 hand fulls of kale
1 hand full of spinach
2 apples
1 carrot
1 celery stalk
1/2 a cucumber
1 banana
1/2 a scoop of vegan vitamin supplement
hand full of ice
....and blend away to green yummy goodness.....mmmmmmmmmmmm
For dinner I had 1/4 of a cucumber
surrounded by cubes of cantelope and honey dew melon, thenlate I had some snap peas and sunflower seeds for snack.
Water water water ...is my friend. lol
Loves xoxo

Day 8 of my Raw Vegan Diet
I started my day with a nice glass of distilled water with lemon. I find that having lemon with my water makes it seem more attractive to me.
For breakfast I had a smoothie made of;
1 hand full of spinach
1 hand full of kale
a piece of cucumber
2 apples
1 banana
2 spears of pineapple
1 spear of celery
1 mango
1/2 a scoop of vegan vitamin supplement
Hand full of ice
Blended into a super green festival of flavors...mmmm
I grazed on this all morning, as well as having a few raw treats;
I had some snap pea snacks, as well as some fresh strawberries.
For lunch I had a salad from a fresh salad bar in the mall...I was so excited to see a place that juiced fresh juice and offered a huge selection of fresh veggies and fruit. That is amazing.
I had cucumbers
tomatoes
red and green and yellow peppers
broccoli and cauliflower
and little button mushrooms
with seeds and nuts on top- cashews, almonds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds.
Accompanied by a freshly juiced apple and pineapple juice.
For diner I had a smoothie made of;
watermelon
mango
cantaloupe
spinach
hand full of ice
wowwie...that was good! Before my smoothie I had a shot of wheatgrass with an apple juice chaser. Every time I do a shot of wheatgrass I am surprised it tastes like grass...hahahaa. It is a weird experience, but I feel great afterwards. It probably has something to do with knowing I am doing something wonderful for my body.
I also bought some new make up at the mall today, so I can cater to my girlie girl self and enjoy looking and feeling great with or without makeup.... life is great. I feel like I am going in the right direction finially. It is a long time coming..but I am ready for it..so ready!!

Day 7 of my Raw Vegan diet
"An apple a day keeps the doctors away" Fresh and live is the way to go...!
Eat well, move your body, feed your mind.
I keep hearing the same question when I bring up Juice fasting or Juice "FEASTING". Is fasting healthy? Well I have decided to feed my mind as well as my body and do a little MORE research. I found this site that I thought was interesting. It talks a bit about how we as a species fed ourselves and how fasting is a natural way for our bodies to go into healing mode.
I have been reading and not logging my food intake so I will do day 7 now and day 8 later today.
I started my day with a glass of water, as is becoming a habit of mine. I made a wonderful fruit and veggie smoothie made of;
3 hand fulls of spinach
3 hand fulls of kale
3 spears of celery
2 apples
2 spears of pineapple
1 banana
1 frozen banana
6 strawberries
1/2 a scoop of vegan vitamin supplement
1 hand full of ice
Yummy green goodness...it is funny because the green smoothies look awful at first, but with all the fruit it tastes so good!
I grazed on 2 liters of this all morning and afternoon.
I had a 2 oz shot of Wheetgrass from the juice bar.
I juiced a mixture of;
apples
carrots
celery
beets
small piece of ginger
* it tastes amazing and is so colorful because of the beets!
Dinner was a bit difficult I admit because the rest of the family had Spaghetti, which is my most favorite food ever! Sigh...but I resisted and ate a huge salad made of;
Butter lettuce
Celery
Carrots
Tomatoes
Cucumber
Snap peas
Red and Yellow pepper
Topped with almonds and sunflower seeds
It was good, I survived after all...*giggle*
I felt better than I had been feeling lately. My hair is getting more shiny, and my skin is fresher and more pink, my eyes are brighter, and I feel 'Alive' inside. My mood is much better than it has been the past 11 years...( that sounds awful I know, but true). I am happy. YEY!
Have a great day you beautiful beings!

Awareness and Change..A time to Share
The more awareness there is in our society about the correlation between our environment,our way of producing and chemically enhancing/ treating our food,and all of our chronic and serious health problems, then the possibility of change and healing comes into being. It is a shift as "a whole" that will make the difference...and it all starts by knowledge and the physical results. Small groups of people know, and the more they share, the more our way of being will change. Health and well being are ours to have. As well as the health and well being of our Earth..and it is that which sustains us.
After you have discovered that our bodies are created to heal and sustain themselves, and it is 'our' poisons that we are putting into our environment and our foods, that are in fact making us sick, it is an easy choice to say, " Well lets stop doing that!" YES..Lets stop doing that..

Rawvolution- We are, as a Species ~ Plant Eaters~
In Defense of Food shows us how, despite the daunting dietary landscape Americans confront in the modern supermarket, we can escape the Western diet and, by doing so, most of the chronic diseases that diet causes. We can relearn which foods are healthy, develop simple ways to moderate our appetites, and return eating to its proper context -- out of the car and back to the table. Michael Pollan's bracing and eloquent manifesto shows us how we can start making thoughtful food choices that will enrich our lives, enlarge our sense of what it means to be healthy, and bring pleasure back to eating.
The more I educate myself about eating a Raw and Live food Diet, the more I realize why so many people are overweight, sick, agitated and and finding disease taking over their lives. It is simple to fix, we need to reset our ideas about what nourishment is to our bodies. I personally think that if Humans keep eating processed, chemically enhanced, hormone fed, dead junk food diets. As a race we will not be eating for our health, but eat ourselves right out of existence!
I have been reading so much lately, and learning about how our bodies process food and carry nutrients into our system. It is not so surprising that our bodies natural ability to heal itself is so taxed that we find our self tired, stressed, irritated, and sick. Our bodies compensate for a while, but then become overwhelmed. This is when we notice that something isn't right.
We find ourselves asking,"What is wrong with me, I feel awful". Oh, to be able to gain back health and vitality once again. Is it too out of reach for us? Absolutely not, we just need to be reeducated about what we are supposed to be putting into our digestive tracks. Our body simply needs pure healthy fuel to maintain balance and health in your whole physical being. For me this discovery is a road leading me back to a healthy beautiful being- full of vitality, happiness and satisfaction.

Day 6 on my Raw vegan Quest
Today I have spent a lot of time reflecting on my life. I am so glad that after years of being unhappy, and unhealthy, I am finally on a road that leads to me being truly satisfied, healthy and blissful in my life. I am so thankful for the wonderful man in my life, he is so supportive and loving. Our energy together is very healing for both of us. My home and my life are filled with so much love. Perhaps this has given me the courage to jump from the ragged cliff that I have been pacing on for years. To break free and fly with abandon to a happier healthier me.....Here I come! *Grin*
I am so thankful for the people in my life that introduced me to this healthy change in the way I eat, and also for the love and support of my family and my friends.

Measuring up
I guess we all measure it differently, but for weight loss I will choose a tape measure.
Yes Kiddies, I have decided that I had better get my butt in gear and start measuring myself. I would like to know where I started, so that when I have a healthy, lean and amazingly toned body, I have a point which I have traveled from. Are you noticing how positive and optimistic I am about my outcome? I will work on keeping my thoughts positive and clear about what I want to see for myself, not only health wise and weight wise, but in every aspect of my being. Expecting positive results is a big part of a successful result. Another part is being commitment to take the steps, you need to take, to get you to your destination. I have a pretty good idea of what it is going to take to get to the place where I feel good about my health and my weight. I am not saying it is easy, not at all. I am just saying that knowing where you want to get to, and knowing how to get there is very empowering. In this part of my life I feel very in control now. I just need to start working on the rest..Body, Mind and Soul my beauties. I must go and balance myself now... *Mwah*
Day 5 of my Raw Vegan Diet
Doing something healthy and caring for your body is truly a beautiful thing.
I am starting to feel more and more that this raw vegan " new way of life" is exactly what my body has been begging for, for years. It isn't hard for me to eat in a regimented and disciplined way. Most of my life I have made an effort to eat healthy, and avoid foods that are high in fat and refined sugars. It is like I have been slowly, over my lifetime been practicing, becoming more disciplined, almost priming myself for a healthier way of eating. I like to think that sometimes life makes some sense, and perhaps things that happen to us in our lives are really there for"a reason"...ooooo...lol I know..that just sounds CRAZY!
So How am I feeling today? I am feeling like I got ran over by a truck. I was in a head on collision this summer..and had a lot of muscular damage, as well as many broken bones. I guess that could be part of it. I am definitely feeling my old tissue injuries more today. I think the best way to describe it is that I am walking in mud...like every movement is an effort. I guess I am starting the detoxification part of the adventure. I knew this was coming...and it won't scare me off! LOL My mood is good even though I am usually a little nasty this time of the month. I will drink lots of water today and get more rest.
"And this too shall Pass"...
Today I started my day with a nice big glass of distilled water.
Then I had a smoothie made of;
2 apples
1 banana
2 handfulls of kale
1 handfull of spinich leaves
1 handfull of lettuce
1 spear of pinapple
1/2 a scoop of Vegan Vitamin Suppliment
I usually have the same smoothie for lunch as I do for breakfast. To be honest I usually make a big batch of it in the morning and graze all moring. I keep the rest in the fridge and just eat as I feel hungry..or thirsty as the case may be. =)
for lunch I am going to have raw veggies with Raw Hummus;
Raw Hummus
1 c. chick pea sprouts (sprouted overnight)
Juice of 1 lemon or lime (I prefer lime)
2 T. fresh orange juice
1 clove garlic
2 T. raw Tahini
Optional seasonings: ground cumin, spike or sea salt to taste, chives, paprika, cayenne pepper
Blend all of the ingredients. Add water to thin to desired consistency.
Very delicious spread on leafy greens or red bell pepper strips or even celery. Enjoy!
For Diner I had a Nice Fresh Salad of;
Romaine lettuce
Cherry tomatoes
Wedges of cucumber
Almonds
Sunflower seeds
I tried a recipe in the blender Green Apples and Parsley.
It was meant for a juicer, but I am a rebel by nature and tried it in a blender.
My son actually drank half of it. lol It was alright. I'm not too excited about it, but I don't really like green apples...Dogh! Did I mention that I am a freak?
Water water water....and off to the bathroom I go!
I feel much better tonight than I did this morning. I have been talking to many people who felt horrible today. I think that the air pressure is affecting us all. Boo...
Love and light to you all =) Hope we all feel better!
